gold day

another painting that looks a lot better with its not quite finished frame.  a few touch ups on the frame and it should be ready to be assembled.

print printing prints

i have no idea where a good place to get quality affordable prints done is.  i have tried a few online places over the years and have never been entirely happy.  the latest shipment arrived yesterday.  it was just a test order.  i'm not sure what to think yet.

recording begins

ep recording began on saturday.  was a long day, but all of the drums and most of the bass should be done.  i was still battling a cold, and was pretty happy that we were only recording rough guitar tracks.  no pressure.  that will come in a week or two.

i managed to snap a few photos and take a few videos of the process.

physical impossibility

this is an old painting that ended up with my sister in toronto.  in january i needed to make a poster for my band's ep release show and thought it was the perfect picture for the bands name and style.  turned out to be one of the better posters seen around this city lately i do believe.

robots and frames

this is the second in a series of simple robots i've been painting.  i liked the first one better, though i don't have a decent picture of it.  as soon as it was finished it was put into a fundraiser charity auction.  not sure where this one is going to end up, though a friend has expressed interest.

there is still some touching up to be done with the robot and octopus.  it should look a little better then, but it already looks a whole lot better with the frame added to it.  my brother made the frame and i painted it last night with my regular acrylic paints.  it turned out pretty good i reckon.

a couple more paintings are waiting to be framed with homemade frames soon, and i'm going shopping for a few on sale frames this week.  hoping to find an epic old mansion frame for a duck.

beginnings

hello.

this is the beginning of a blog featuring art, songs, and random things in life.  to start things off, here is a video i recently did for my band - when systems collide.  the video was made one very cold, cold day with paints and water and reversed video.  everything had to be done very quickly before things froze.  i think it fits the song pretty well though and is a good introduction to some things that will be coming later with robotducks.
